Le-Win Sports Socks

The Post prom Committee has a great new way to show school pride by displaying the Le-Win Sport Socks. The link below will direct you to the socks that are available. These are not your ordinary run-of-the-mill socks. They are NIKE-LIKE sports socks that many retail stores are offering with the Le-Win Logo on them. Please check them out. 3rd Annual Alumni Basketball Tournament on Saturday, December 20th

The Lena-Winslow Boys’ Basketball Program will be hosting its 3rd annual Alumni Tournament on Saturday, December 20th. Anyone interested in entering a team should contact Kyle Benson at bensonk@le-win.net or text at 815-291-5399. If we get enough teams to enter we will try to run it as a true tournament. Please respond by Saturday, December 6th, if you plan on entering a team. Thank you!
School Board Seats up for Election
Lena-Winslow CUSD #202 will have three school board seats to be filled at the April 7, 2015 Consolidated Election. The 3 seats are 4-year terms expiring in April, 2019. Nominating petitions can be circulated starting September 23, 2014. The filing period is December 15 - December 22, 2014.****New this election: Candidates must file their nominating petitions at the county clerk's office.****

Ag. Construction finishes Shed Siding Project.

The Agriculture Construction class along with Mr. Hoff, Mr. Brown, and Mrs. Trone has put the finishing touches on a project for the siding of the exterior shed for the FFA/Ag. Dept.

High School Yearbooks Are In
High school yearbooks can be picked up in the high school office from 7:30 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. Extra yearbooks are available to be purchased ($60) if you did not pre-order one, quantities limited.
Le-Win students learn more about the importance of agriculture through the Ag in the Classroom programs.

Cyclists from IAITC traveled throughout our region to spread the message and support the Ag in the Classroom program. Attached is a video which includes the assembly at Lena-Winslow Elementary School.
Bring your own ear buds program:

This year we are encouraging students to bring and use their own earbuds to use in class. Earbuds can easily be kept in the students pocket or folder and used in class when researching topics on the web. They take up less space than over the head phones and are often inexpensive. Earbuds are often included with a new cell phone, but may not always be used...
