Meet the Principal
Hello, I am Andrew Lobdell, Junior High Principal of Lena-Winslow School District. I graduated from Lena-Winslow in 1999 and then went to college in Whitewater, WI at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After playing football at UW-W and studying abroad in Australia, I returned to northwest Illinois, and was hired in 2004 by Freeport School District #145 as a high school PE/Health teacher and football coach.

While Freeport High School, I was involved in curriculum changes, had many discipline duties, and was part of a football conference championship. During my time at FSD 145 I received my Masters in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.

In 2009, I was hired by my hometown as the Junior High Principal got married my wife, Amy, and we bought a house in the Le-Win School District where we now live with our two daughters, Aubrey and Avery.

In 2014, students and teachers in The State of Illinois participated in the 2014 Illinois 5Essentials Survey, which asked questions about their school’s culture and climate. Lena-Winslow Jr. High School’s performance on the 5Essentials summarizes the participants’ answers to those survey questions as they relate to the 5Essentials. Check out how the school ranks using the Illinois 5 Essentials Survey here.
