Senior trip a success in Chicago

6th Grade Student Leaders clean up Le-Win country

In honor of Earth Day, Le-Win Student Leadership made the decision to clean up the country roads. 6th grade student leaders covered 20 miles of country roadside in just 2 hours! Students found the normal beer cans, pop cans, bottles, and paper trash, as well as, a few abnormal things... like a cell phone!

6th Grade Visits Holocaust Museum in Skokie, IL

On April 9, 2015 the 6th grade class had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Holocaust Museum and learned first hand what it was like during WWII from a friend of Le-Win, holocaust survivor, Magda Brown.

Post-Prom Meat Drawing Winners Announced!
Congratulations to Mel Bower of Stockton and Linda Johnson of Pearl City who won the 1/4 beef and whole hog, respectively. Thanks to all of you who supported this and all of the fundraising efforts for the post-prom!
PantherHawks comeback with Hardware from IHSA State Wrestling Tournament

Two PantherHawk wrestlers qualified for the IHSA State Tournament held last weekend.

Kyle Kalkbrenner Soph.(2 time state qualifier) 152lbs. ended the year 40-18 with two tough losses at the state meet.

Rahveon Valentine Fresh. 132lbs. finished 4th with a first round (3-0) win over Walsh from Leroy, 2nd round loss (6-4)to Jurzak from Coal City (eventual state Champion), a third round wrestle-back win(TF 19-1) over Luper of Carterville, a fouth round wrestle-back win(4-3) over Mook from Herscher, a fifth round wrestle-back win (5-3) over Coleman from Peoria Heights which put him in the match for 3rd place. In the third place match Rahveon lost by a injury default to Braunagel form Belleville( Althoff Catholic)when he received a concussion by an incidental head butt.
Rahveon ended the year 48-9.
Congratulations to our two qualifiers, the wrestling team which finished the year 26-3, Mr. Milder and all the coaches for a great year.

The Post prom Committee has a great new way to show school pride by displaying the Le-Win Sport Socks. The link below will direct you to the socks that are available.
